Shuttle systems utilise smart sensor technology to lift, move and relocate pallets independently.
Pallet shuttle racking is powered by rechargeable batteries, providing a self-contained power source to run independently from one another. Each cart is placed on rails within the rack and works by lifting the pallet or platform on which the load is placed, this cart then carries the stock further back into the system or to the lane entry where it can be picked up by a forklift truck.

QUALITY RACKING INSPECTIONS
Racking installation is under legal responsibility to comply with Provision and Use of Workplace Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
Owners of racking systems are required to carry out annual racking inspections to guarantee that equipment is safe for use. Inspections identify structural damage in a traffic light system, with amber or red being cause for concern. If a racking system is deemed as damaged then it will need to be replaced, potentially taken out of operation upon immediate effect.
